Moonstone owes its name to the white, almost magical shimmer that resembles moonshine. Blue-whitish light glides over the surface when the stone is cut cabochon. This is called adularescence, Moonstone is thought to bring good fortune and success in love and business. These beads have flashes of blue as they move - the picture does not do them justice!
